Brief Takamine History

The Takamine company started in 1959 in the village of Sakashita Japan at the foot of Mount Takamine. The brand rose in popularity during the 1960s and then the company decided to expand to international customers in the 1970s. The brand is well known for their acoustic electric guitars. The Takamine brand is well respected by enthusiasts and pros alike.
